A bright red float, which can be seen from quite a distance, is a big feature. This allows you to read it from the dry side of your window. The tube is 10" long and can measure up to 5" of rain in 1/10" increments. The steel holder has a a pointed stake that can be stuck in the ground, or it can be mounted on a post.
